We had the pleasure of sponsoring Tay (or as her foster mom likes to call her Tay-ter Tot) and Autumn (pictured below), the cute little Shepherd/Husky mix for training at the GSDC of Minneapolis/St. Paul Workshop. When dogs go into foster homes, the fosters do all the work and when you have awesome fosters like Mary and Amber who go the extra mile to get their fosters ready for their forever homes it’s just a win, win! We were very happy to play a small part in this guys new life. His name is Oakley and he was lucky enough to have Rescued Pets are Wonderful say yes to him when he needed rescue. So many people took time out of their day to transport him from Fergus Falls to the cities. How we helped: foster (thank you Paula) food, toys, treats and a new collar and leash.
Oakley was brought into Rescued Pets Are Wonderful a few months ago and we were lucky enough to help him along the way until his forever family was found, today that happened! Oakley’s new parents are both deemed “essential” workers during this difficult time and we are sure he will bring them lots of comfort now and for many years to come
Many people cam together to help save this 6 month old... the individuals who networked him, the transport person who took hours out of her day to get him, the rescue who said YES (United Doberman Rescue and Canine Castaways) and our team for sponsoring him!

Our first “rescue wishes” box was delivered thanks to Sue Ellen Strohecker. Sue chose this Organization because she supports them and believes in what they do. Thank you so much Sue for making their day just a little bit brighter, while they await their forever homes!
Our second “rescue wishes” box was successfully delivered to these cuties, thanks to Susan Keller! Looks like fun was had by all!
More “rescue wishes” were delivered today by Susan Keller and some other great volunteers. Toys, treats and walks all on Christmas Day!
Jess and Major took a ride to deliver their “rescue wishes” box to the Babinski Foundation in Pequot Lakes, MN. The Babinski Foundation is a private non-profit animal shelter. Thanks Jess and Major for delivering the wishes so the dogs in their care can have a little bit of sunshine today!
Our last rescue wish box of 2019 was distributed by Jayne Hunter-Holden who chose Northeast Texas Rescue Organization. Dalton, the stunning GSD miracle, who was found abandoned and in horrible condition and lots of puppies enjoyed some toys and treats (along with a lot of kisses and play time). Thank you Nancy, Jayne and all the fosters who are making a difference in so many animals' lives!
Skylar, the reason these wishes even exist, pictured with all of the 2019 Rescue Wishes Boxes!
Sometimes life happens and like most of us, we want the very best for our animals even if it means giving them up. This dog was extremely loved in her first home and now she will be forever loved in her new home. These two women share the love of the same profession and now they share the love of the same dog! We were happy to help play “match maker” to this very lucky dog who has so many who love
Meet Hans the adorable GSD who is looking for a new home. Hans is almost 3 years old, his birthday is November 11th and his wish is to have a new forever home. Hans has been in his current home for about one year, a good man took him in after his first owner got to busy for him. Why is he being rehomed you ask? Although Hans is good with other dogs, his current home has 2 other intact males, Hans gets along with the 14 month old male, but he can clash a bit with the older 7 year old male and the owner wants what is best for Hans so asked for our help. Hans loves people and has been good with the owners grandkids, he is kennel trained and knows his basic obedience. If you are interested in Hans, please reach out to us.
Helping Hans
We posted sweet Hans a little over a week ago and we are happy to say his wish came true........he found a new forever home before his 3rd birthday! Hans will have a wonderful new life with a retired couple to keep him company every day and a nice big fenced in yard to run and play. Hans is seriously the goofiest dog we have met in a long time, congratulations sweet boy!

Tracker was impounded after being removed from his home where he was left for weeks alone along with another dog. They were living in their own feces & urine, fending for themselves. He became releasable to a rescue organization once his hold time was up. Luckily for both dogs they got to do their stray hold at “Follow Me Dogs” where they got to live in a home setting and cared for by that orga
Tracker was lucky enough to become a part of this duo, now a trio! Ryan and Daphne’s family just grew by 4 paws and we could not be happier for him! Say good morning to Gunner! Gunner is still a young pup, most likely just shy of one year old. He was found as a stray in Oklahoma and landed himself at Oklahoma Pet Collective Society. Yesterday Gunner made his way to Minnesota thanks to Midwest Animal Rescue & Services. Gunner is a sweet, energetic guy who could use some obedience training. He made it to Hansen Kennels yesterday around 5:30 and
Ever wonder how many people it takes to help just one dog? Well in this case, Hoss was found by a volunteer running on the side of the road, she opened the door and he jumped right in! Next, Hoss was off to Oklahoma Pet Collective Society where Angel got him up to date on vaccines and then she reached out to us to help network him, then we reached out to Susan to evaluate him and get video’s for u
The last piece of Hoss’s puzzle is now complete! Big thanks to everyone who came together to help this big gentle giant! Happy forever after Hoss!
I had the honor of representing Skylar’s Scholarships in the First Annual Burnett County Sheriffs’ K-9 Par 3 Golf Event! Skylar donated a basket of goodies that was raffled off and they also put together two dog bowls of goodies for the two K-9s. Skylar also donated 17 Life Coins to be put into the pockets of the sworn officers. The tournament was awesome and we can’t wait to do it all over again

He made it to Hansen Kennels and met his new trainer Denise, we think he kinda likes her already by the look in his eyes! We are happy to sponsor this guys training for 2 weeks while everyone gets to know him better. We will keep you updated on his progress, look for him on the MARS website soon. Bonus points for this guy……whoever adopts him will get 2 free training sessions with Denise once he is adopted into a new family.
Congratulations to K9 Mattis who received the funding for a K9 vest from our “Treats for K9’s” campaign! This team finished up their training on November 19th and are ready to keep the City of Minnetonka, MN safe 🖤 Big thanks to our K9 friends who helped this campaign and everyone who purchased treats!
